The free trial
How the 7-day free trial works.
Every new install gets a 7-day free trial on either the Starter or Growth plan.
How it works
- Install the app from the Shopify App Store
- Go to the Billing page inside the app
- Choose Starter or Growth and confirm via Shopify's billing approval screen
- Your trial starts immediately and runs for 7 days
- On day 8, Shopify charges your store the plan price
You can use every feature of the chosen plan during the trial. Building rules, activating them, having customers redeem at checkout — all of it works during the trial period.
Cancelling before charge
If you decide the app isn't for you, cancel before day 7 and you won't be charged. Your discount rules deactivate at cancellation.
To cancel:
- Open the Billing page in the app
- Click Cancel subscription
- Confirm
Or go to Shopify admin → Settings → Apps and sales channels → Snax Variant Discounts → Manage and cancel from there.
Trial restrictions
There are no feature restrictions during the trial — it's the full plan you selected.
After the trial
Day 8 onwards, your store is charged the plan price ($4.99 Starter or $12.99 Growth) on a recurring monthly cycle. You can:
- Continue using the app — no further action needed
- Cancel anytime to stop future charges
- Upgrade or downgrade between plans
Trial only applies once
Shopify grants the 7-day free trial only once per store, per app. If you cancel during or after the trial and re-subscribe later, you'll be charged immediately on the new subscription. There's no second free trial.
