Free Shipping rules
Waive shipping on carts that meet your conditions.
A Free Shipping rule removes shipping charges at checkout for carts that meet your criteria. Useful for AOV (average order value) bumps and seasonal promotions.
When to use it
- Free shipping over a minimum cart total ("Free shipping on orders over $75")
- Free shipping for specific customer segments ("Free shipping for VIP members")
- Free shipping on specific collections ("Free shipping on all candles")
- Seasonal promotions ("Free shipping all December")
Configuration

Free Shipping rules can be country/region-restricted using the Markets condition. See Markets and channels.
How the discount applies at checkout
When the customer's cart meets all of your conditions, the shipping rate at checkout is reduced to zero (up to the optional max-discount cap). If their cart doesn't meet the conditions, shipping is charged normally.
Examples
Free shipping over $75
Conditions: Cart subtotal ≥ $75 Result: Shipping is waived for carts of $75 or more.
Free shipping for tagged customers
Conditions: Customer has tag "vip" Result: VIP customers always get free shipping.
Free shipping on a collection
Conditions: Cart contains items from collection "Holiday Gifts" Result: Any cart containing a Holiday Gift item gets free shipping.
Capped free shipping (US only)
Markets: United States Maximum discount: $15 Result: US customers get up to $15 off shipping; international rates aren't affected.
Combining with other discounts
By default a Free Shipping rule doesn't combine with other discounts. To let it stack with product or order discounts, enable "Combines with shipping discounts" on those rules. See Discount combinations.
